Hannah Anderson

Hannah Anderson is a tuba player from Independence, Iowa. Hannah is currently a freshman at Lawrence University studying with Dr. Marty Erickson for her major in tuba performance. She has experience teaching low brass students ages 10-16 years old throughout her time in high school. Hannah has been a part of several honor bands in Iowa including the Iowa All-State Band/Orchestra (2017-2019). She has also participated in other music events such as the Luther College Dorian Summer Music Camp (2016-2019), Northern Iowa Youth Orchestra (2017-2020), and the Honor Band of America (2020). Hannah participated in all aspects of her high school band program including marching band which attended the Bands of America Grand Nationals (2018-2019), jazz band which attended the Iowa Jazz Championships (2017-2019), pep band, concert band, musical pit band, an internship with the Jr. High band, and volunteer band for memorial and graduation day. In her senior year of high school, Hannah was awarded the Iowa Bandmasters Association Award of Merit presented in recognition of outstanding leadership, loyalty, and service to her high school band program. Hannah owes much of her success to her directors and lesson teachers over her 9 years of playing the tuba. Hannah hopes to be an inspirational mentor to her lesson students just like her mentors were for her.
