William Zhu

William Zhu, president of MelodeeBee Music, attends Winston Churchill High School. He started playing the baritone at the age of 10 and eventually transitioned to the bass trombone at the age of 13. Ever since the transition, William has been involved in the music community. He has been selected to be the principal bass trombone in Maryland’s All-State Bands and Montgomery County’s Honors Bands for three years. He has also been a part of the 2018-2019 Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra season and the 2019-2020 American Youth Philharmonic Orchestra season. Over the summers, he has attended Interlochen and Tanglewood with scholarships and was planning to attend Brevard with a scholarship in the summer of 2020. William believes that “life is a journey, not a destination” and encourages you to just enjoy the process.
